Treasurer’s Report for Financial Year November 2019 to October 2020
The attached sheets are a summary of the financial accounts for 2019/2020. Due to the current Covid restrictions these have not been audited, however. Arrangements have been made to carry this out after lockdown.
I would like to thank and acknowledge Mike Jeffries help in handing over the accounts to me after the AGM last year. Mike continued in the Treasurer’s role for the beginning of the financial year and I took over about the time of the first lockdown. This has been a strange year with many competitions being cancelled so my job as Treasurer has not been as busy as it would normally be.
You will see in the summary of accounts that there are many gaps when compared with the previous year’s accounts due to competition cancellations. However, some Monday Club and Thursday competitions did take place along with the Captain’s Away Day. The result of the cancellations is that the Income was greatly reduced when compared to the previous year. Expenditure for the year was more than Income received so the overall year was over spent by £364.17.
The reconciliation sheet shows that after unpresented cheques and unreconciled items have been take into account the bank balance at 31 October 2020 was £7,057.42 in credit.
