2021 AGM Report

Ramsdale Park Seniors Section

Dear Seniors,

Rest assured that we, of the Executive Committee, are working to try and keep you informed of any and all changes within the club.

As we are coming up to the date of our AGM, and due to the restrictions of socially distancing and club closure, the AGM will not officially take place this year.

Malcolm Voce has made a viable suggestion that we have an informal AGM, after a Seniors competition on a Thursday with food for all, once the golf course is open again.

Prior to lockdown we arranged to have a Seniors only day competition on Thursdays. This has proved successful as the majority of allocated places have been utilised.

The Monday competition, open all day and to all and run by the Seniors section, is still viable but not as successful as the Thursdays competitions.

Due to the absence of an AGM, the current committee have agreed to stand for the coming year. If anyone is interested in joining the Seniors committee as a co-opted member, you would be more than welcome, please contact us (see the sidebar menu). Stuart Murry will hand over the captaincy to Malcolm Voce, ceremonially at the unofficial AGM (date to be decided).

The Seniors section finances have been issued and can be found on the Seniors website, but they are yet to be audited. Our income has been reduced due to the Coronavirus restrictions and general lockdown. Our outgoings were greater that our income but we still have a healthy balance.

Lastly let us hope that restrictions are alleviated soon and that we can get back to our outdoor exercise, general socialising and improved golf. Well maybe we can still dream, can’t we?

Patrick McDonough – Seniors Section Secretary
